Forth Valley Inter Agency Adult Support and Protection Guidance and Procedures
This document builds on a tradition of effective inter-agency co-operation in providing adult protection within the Forth Valley area. These guidelines conform to the Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act 2007 (which, for reading convenience, is referred to as the ASP Act) and the Act�s accompanying Code of Practice.
This version of the Forth Valley guidelines replace previous versions drawn up in 1994, 2004 and 2009.
The purpose of these guidelines and procedures is to provide a framework within which all those responsible for the support and protection of adults at risk can operate effectively, within the Law, whilst also complying with their own agency requirements and guidance.
