Local businesses can find out about contract opportunities associated with the new Wellbeing Hub at a Meet the Buyer event later this month.
The in-person Meet the Buyer event is being organised by hub East Central Scotland in partnership with the Supplier Development Programme and Clackmannanshire Council. It will be held at Alloa Town Hall on Thursday 31st October.
Hub East Central Scotland, along with Ogilvie Construction and Robertson Construction, will share information on the current pipeline of construction projects in the area, including the state-of-the-art Wellbeing Hub, which will include swimming pools.
Attendees will also hear how delivering these projects will support the Council’s Community Wealth Building strategy by having local businesses involved, wherever possible, in project deliverables.
Council Leader Ellen Forson said: “The Wellbeing Hub and Lochies School project is one of the largest facility development projects the Council has invested in. As such the development must provide benefits to the people of Clackmannanshire beyond just delivery of the facility.
“This event will provide local businesses the opportunity to be amongst the first to learn about the contract opportunities associated with the project and how to become 'tender ready' for bid writing for the supply chain selection process.
“So, if you are a local supply chain business looking to engage with these contractors and secure work in the Clackmannanshire area, please ensure to book your place at this important event.”
