The Council’s door to door transport service, operated by Dial-a-Journey, has been extended until 31 March 2025.
This continuation will give the Council time to consider its broader sustainable transport plans which aim to deliver a more connected Clackmannanshire.
The Council has already begun engagement with wider stakeholders and in our communities on our transport ambitions.
The Council have worked proactively with Dial-a-Journey to continue this service in the meantime and at their request the service will operate Monday to Friday (excluding Wednesdays).
Council officers will soon be writing to current service users inviting them to reapply for membership.
Council leader Ellen Forson said: “We are currently undertaking a review of transport services provided by the Council which will inform the future delivery of public transport in Clackmannanshire.
"This extension to the contract with Dial-a-Journey will give the Council time to consider our ambitions to develop a broader sustainable transport solution for our communities here in Clackmannanshire.
“I am pleased that we have been able to retain this service for this extended period and I am sure this news will also be welcomed by service users.”
