The Mental Health and Wellbeing in Clacks transformation project has announced some new funding for community-based organisations to support short-term projects and activities that support the mental health of children and young people in Clackmannanshire.

The funding, which come from the Scottish Government’s Community Mental Health Supports and Services grant, can be used for a variety of projects or activities that support mental health and wellbeing for children and young people in Clackmannanshire.

Cllr Graham Lindsay, Spokesperson for Education said: “We know that mental health is a major issue for both our young people and their families, and we’ve been working over the past year to develop a continuum of services and supports that are available both digitally and face to face.

“There are a wide range of fantastic organisations in Clackmannanshire who are doing some great work to support our communities, overcoming barriers to continue that work throughout the pandemic. I would encourage local groups to apply for this funding so that they can continue this work to support children and young people having an element of choice about what works for them.”

The grants will be made available to successful organisations before the end of March, enabling the money to make a difference quickly and effectively across Clackmannanshire. Grants of up to £2000 are available, and an additional fund will be available for youth-led applications in grants of up to £1,000 via the Clackmannanshire Youth Bank.

Further information and an application pack can be found on our website. The closing date for applications is 23rd February 2022.
